FOREPERSON The Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority (LEPFA), an independent agency of the City of Lansing responsible for the management of the Lansing Center, Cooley Law School Stadium, Lansing City Market and the production & management of community events, seeks a dynamic leader to fill the FOREPERSON position.
Position supervises and directs the daily duties of Facilities staff; interprets event work orders and directs staff accordingly; reviews and verifies interior and exterior facility conditions; event and room setup/tear down and monitors cleanliness/room equipment needs of daily operations of facilities and events utilizing general safety practices and procedures; directs and assists the Facilities staff in the housekeeping, custodial services, snow removal, grounds services and room set tasks. Must possess organization, oral and written communications, and customer service skills.
Thorough knowledge of tools, equipment, methods and materials related to housekeeping, custodial services as well as supervisory and leadership skills desired.
Position requires irregular schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent GED required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have a valid Michigan ID or divers’ license.

EVENT COORDINATOR INTERN The Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority (LEPFA), an independent agency of the City of Lansing responsible for the management of the Lansing Center, Thomas M. Cooley Law School Stadium, Lansing City Market and the production & management of community events, seeks a dynamic student intern in the Operations Department working primarily with the Event Coordinator Staff.
Non-paid Intern will assist with administrative duties and special projects, assist with the scheduling of event staff, and development and scheduling of events, as well as assist in the research and development of special projects as assigned. Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Office/Word, spreadsheets, database and internet experience desired. Oral and written communication skills required. Internship may require irregular schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays. High school graduate with a minimum of one year of completed college course work required.

BUILDING ENGINEER(Part-Time)
The Building Engineer is responsible for the repair & maintenance of the Authority’s facilities, equipment, and grounds to ensure that the services and facilities are in a safe an exceptional working manner. The Building Engineer performs work in, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, structural, HVAC, and building systems in the maintenance, repair, and construction of Authority property.
Position is part-time and requires irregular schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Trade certification in electrical, carpentry, HVAC or plumbing preferred. Thorough knowledge of commercial building and trades skills, ability to read blueprints, use of tools and equipment and strong oral and written communication skills preferred. Must have high school diploma or equivalent GED and 18 years of age or older. Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license. ON-CALL FACILITY WORKER (part-time)
This position is to provide assistance in an on-call, as need basis for the facility. As an on-call facility worker some of your duties will include room set-up/tear down, perform, custodial duties such as cleaning of restrooms, maintaining interior and exterior of facilities.
EVENT STAFF (on-call/part-time) This position is required to work flexible weekday, evening and weekend hours. There is no minimum hour guarantee. These positions work at the Lansing Center and Cooley Law School Stadium and are based on event schedules. Available positions are for supervisors, ticket takers, door guards and ushers.
